Dear Clients and Friends, I am extremely pleased to announce the merger of the ongoing business operation of our Brahm International Ltd. company with Western Overseas Corp. Our Chicago office in Elk Grove Village, IL has been closed and operations merged with Western Overseas Chicago office in Arlington Heights, IL. Our Milwaukee operations in Franklin, WI is now the newest and twenty-third office of Western Overseas Corp., and will remain at the present location until the property can be sold and we can move the new Western Overseas Corp. Milwaukee office nearer to General Mitchell International Airport and/or the Milwaukee U.S. Customs office. The Milwaukee employees will remain as part of the Western Overseas family. Western Overseas Corp. is first and foremost about customer service. It is family owned and maintains a family atmosphere. I first got to know Mike Dugan, the owner of Western Overseas, when he was president of our National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) back in the 1990s. He is very well respected throughout the country. Western Overseas Milwaukee will become much more efficient. Our new computer and phone systems will provide a close link to all our other offices. We now have much better “buying power” to provide rates through better contracts with air and ocean carriers. Maybe most exciting is a new Western Overseas proactive tracking and tracing system.
